Desert horses

A bleak desert is not the sort of place you would normally go looking for horses, but these Namibian Wild Horses have adapted well to life here, thought to originate from thoroughbred stock left behind by a German Count.
A short late afternoon visit to see these "wild" horses was very productive with 20+ of seen, typically coming to look to see if anyone had any food.

Also several Oryx and Ostrich, 3 Karoo Koorhans and a delightful flock of Scaly-feathered Finches here.
